I ordered my JRB Nest as my early Christmas present Monday night, it was shipped on Tuesday, and I received it on Thursday. EXCELLENT customer service.
I opened the box and did an inspection. The quality was excellent. I set up my HH in the rain yesterday afternoon in order to test my new underquilt last night.
The only "con" is that the setup instructions were small and the pictures were hard to see. I went on the Jacks website to see if I could get better views, but I couldn't find them. The instructions also were generic and not specific to the nest, which raised some questions in my mind.
I think I figured it out and adjustment was a breeze. The questions I have for others is about the slit that matches up to the HH bottom entry. I attached the quilt's hook and loop (velcro) to the hammock's and it seemed to work well enough. Do others do this, or do you reach out through the slit, close the quilt, and then lay back and allow the hammock slit to close itself? Also, there a small S binner attached to the end closure cord at the mouth of the slit. I didn't know what it was for so I pulled it up through the slit and hooked it over the ridgeline of the hammock. It seemed to hold the quilt up against the bottom of the hammock better, but again, there were no instructions on this.
I slept very well and was warm. No cold spots or CBS. The temperature dropped down to 44 degrees here in central MA and it was very windy. I used my LL Bean 35 degree 650 down sleeping bag and wore a pair of shorts and a T shirt. It was hard to climb out in the morning because I was so warm and comfortable.
So I am now the happy and satisfied owner of a JRB Nest UQ!
