side sleeper hammock

I currently have a blackbird 1.1 double 10 ft and my wife just can't get comfortable in it. I tested a 11 ft Dream Hammock and a Ridgerunner Hammock at the Mi Fall Hang a couple of weeks ago. I am wondering your thoughts on side sleepers. Two things my wife doesn't care for is she wants to lay as flat as possible and she doesn't know if she can adapt to just sleeping on her back she is a real side sleeper. So I am not sure which to buy a longer 11ft hammock that is really wide so she might be able to lay a bit on her side or a really flat hammock setup like the Bridge hammock ridgerunner?

I can't say about camping hammocks, but I sleep on my side every night in a double wide Brazilian hammock.

I am a side sleeper and am able to get flat and comfortable on a gathered end hammock. 11 foot by 5 foot. I find this more comfortable than a bridge hammock (sleeping in a bridge hammock bothers my shoulder), I don't have too much experience with an asym, because it hasn't been necessary. It took some effort to get a comfortable angle, but after working that out it has been great. I've been using this setup for several years.

I've had a WBRR and a JacksRBetter BMBH. I like the Ridgerunner better overall but I still think the BMBH let me sleep on my side better.

How much of an effort has she made to adjust to sleeping on her back? If she's gone through at least a few nights and still can't get comfortable, maybe she won't easily adjust to it. I never thought I'd be comfortable on my back, but I find it has grown on me quite a bit over time. I still prefer to sleep on my side, but back sleeping is so much more natural of a position in a hammock that I often wake up on my back regardless of how I go to sleep.

I sleep 95% of the time on my side. The other five percent, on my back. My hammock is a 10 footer, gathered end, I made myself. Works really great, and I am ALWAYS very comfortable.
The amount of sag in the hammock will make, or break, the side sleeping comfort (and/or overall comfort IME). Adjust until comfortable, and sleep happy and comfortable. Once she has it where she's comfortable - add a structural ridge line so she can easily hit that perfect for her, sag over and over again.

I'm a side sleeper, but have become accustomed to sleeping on my back in a hammock. It did take some time to get used though.

I have a wb ridge runner and wb xcl both allow a good side sleep but I prefer the ridgerunner.

I barely ever sleep on my back in a hammock. I'd say 80% of the time I'm on my side.

Side sleeper. Ive been very comfortable in an eno doublenest and in my blackbird. Never tried the ridgerunner.
