So, this weekend the creative juices were flowing. I managed to start and finish a couple of projects. I'm also starting a new project this coming weekend if my supplies come in the mail. I have formulated that the sewing machine is a gateway drug...

Got my single-post hammock stand the way I like it. It's not light or small enough to carry backpacking but would be good for car camping. It only takes a few minutes to set up and seems to be very sturdy. It's made of 2x3. Going to stain it and seal it this weekend.

So... yeah... I need a support group. :\ Luckily, I'm only addicted to DIY and not buying lots of accessories.

I'd like to help you out with your problem, but I'm too busy right now finishing my orders to Dutch, DIY Gear and Ripstop by the Roll.

Ripstop by the Roll should have a warning label on it. Something like: "Our prices on ripstop are so awesome they may force you to DIY all the things."

Autiger...do you have a write up how you did your single post stand. I have a similar situation. And what I have tried so far on stands haven't been successful.

And it looks like you can hang 3 hammocks....is that right? Or are this anchor lines.

What did you use for anchors also?

I'm about to jump in head first and attempt to make a DIY down under quilt. I don't have a ton of sewing experience under my belt yet, so this is gonna be interesting. Perhaps I'll need that support group too.

Just wait till you catch the sewing machine bug. I think I'm up to 10 of them now, I did use 3 of them on my last tarp though.

Thanks, Rat. Had to Zombie it up for Halloween! And I was talking to a co-worker today about my upcoming and previous DIY projects, as a matter of fact! So you're right, I'll be dragging my quilt up there when it's done.

Mousekowitz, we've been discussing purchasing a vintage Singer. Lol, we must all have the same sickness. :-)
