    Parachute nylon material

How useful is this sort of material in DIY applications? I think I can get a bunch of stuff identical to this example http://cgi.ebay.com/PARACHUTE-RIPSTO...d=p3286.c0.m14 for even cheaper that what this eBay auction is going for.

Great for making poncho liners, jacket liners and even as a "zoot suit", a simple windproof shirt and trouser set worn under outer clothing as a wind barrier. They make great camp pyjamas too.

I guess you could use it as the outer shell for a quilt or sleeping bag. It's very lightweight with almost zero bulk.

Awesome... I think I'm going to pick some up from a friend of mine. I have a few DIY projects I want to try... plan on teaching myself how to run the ol' Thread Injector thingie we have sitting upstairs!
