Michigan Pictured Rocks Trip oct 18,19 and 20th

Here are some pictures of a recent trip that my daughter and I took to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore between Munising and Grand Marais Michigan.

Second time I have been there hiking/camping and I think the most beautiful scenery are the sheer rock bluffs that lie between Chapel rock and Mosquito beach.

What a great place to camp. Really like all the rock formations. Did they name Mosquito beach after Michigan's state bird?
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

We camped at Hurricane river (lower) Saturday afternoon, the next day we drove to the Chapel rock area and did the 10 mile hike loop which encompasses Chapel Rock and the bluffs heading west to Mosquito beach then back to the trail head. After we were done with that we did the log slide, dunes and lighthouse.

The following day we packed up and headed west towards Munising and took in Miners Castle along with Miners falls then headed home after that.

Most definitely. Mosquito Beach is one of my favorites, but I was literally watching them buggers hatch the last time I was there in June 2013.

Nice photos. Sounds like you hit several of the highlights on your trip.
