    tent poles with a superfly?!?

I'm looking to get a porch mode set up with two 6' tent poles and my superfly. How do you folks rig up the tent poles so they work with the triangle attachment on the superfly?

Most I see, people use two treking poles, handles down on the ground, tips into the fly D-ring. Then the tie down line run down to the ground.
there is also a Pole Mod which fits over the top of any tarp, hooks into the panel pulls and "opens up" the tarp.

That's what I do almost every time unless the rain starts to blow in.

If you're talking about tent poles, like the older ~1" diameter pipes, you have a lot of options. But I'm not very creative, so I guess I would just smash the end into a point with a hammer and put it into the triangle like I would my treking poles.

If the end of the pole doesn't fit you might be able to use a larks head or some other hitch around the pole and then stake the line out. You might have to deal with the line slipping down the pole though.

A few folks used a similar approach but simply used a loop of cordage and girth hitched to the ends of the poles.
