    Greetings from northeastern US!

    Hello everyone!
My name is Scott and I'm a college student from Connecticut. Thinking about it now, I have found hammocks interesting since I was a very young child, in fact I have fond memories of my best friend's hammock that he had setup in his yard when we were only 8 or 9 years old. I grew up with a very large acreage of woods in my backyard (technically illegal trespassing but too good to resist) and spent my days hiking and making forts and learning survival skills. Naturally when I found a cheap bunched-end style hammock at my local sporting goods store, it became the first thing I packed on adventures.

Now that I've grown a bit I have wanted to take my hanging to a new level, so I have been gradually building a full shelter system which led me to this forum. All the information I could ever need was here and lots of friendly people to add to it so I'm pretty excited. Hopefully this may get me the chance to meet some people with similar lofty aspirations too

Can't wait to join in on the conversations!
    Scott
