I always throw in a space blanket--------doesnt weigh much, has lots of uses, and just in case the temp drops, it might be enough to get you thru he night (works as a reflective vapor barrier , as long as you vent it to manage condensation!) Also, in an emergency you could help out a lost hiker, without putting your self in danger!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Got a nice setup. Have too much insulation image.jpg
I'm a home-roasting coffee snob, too, and after trying all manner of Joe distillation, I swear by the MSR Mugmate.
I have a Lexan Bodum, a collapsible GSI filter, a plastic Bodum mug, and a squeeze bottle with filter mesh for the trail, and auto coffee maker and glass bodum at home.
The MSR gets used more than anything.
So I was HOT!
I knew I was over-prepared
Gotta start working on a 'more official' under quilt or peapod now
I use this Filter with a Nalgene Wide Mouth Bottle. I like to have a couple cups of coffee with breakfast.

How is the coffee made in the AeroPress? I've been looking at it for awhile debating. Also it's good to know that you can hit lower temps with what you have. Sounds like it was a good learning experience.
AeroPress makes really good strong coffee.
Not as 'clean' as Chemex, but a lot cleaner than French Press.
It is often diluted but I drank it full strength.
A friend of mine has brought it on a Tour bus with me so I got a good taste for it.
Bad sides...
It has parts. Also he was using small paper filters (there is a metal filter option).
It is also slightly labor intensive.
Think of a higher pressure French Press.
Easy to clean.
Cowboy or Turkish coffee, whichever you know it by. Tasty and easy. An espresso grind produces a better result.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
