Thumbs up Fronkey on TRT- The "Bear" Necessities.

    Hey everyone,

I took Pockets and The Wolf out for a big hike on the Tahoe Rim Trail and we had an incredible time.
We saw a bear, had very little water due to a drought and had to deal with a ton of snow. It sure was an awesome time out in the woods!

    Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks dude. Yeah, she did an excellent job planning it and it was fun to see her looking over the maps and telling me to "get away" while she was working on the itinerary. lol

What a great trail and views to die for. Nicely done Pockets.
I don't blame you two for extending the 8 mile day to 13 since that bear showed every sign of not being afraid of man.

As someone who has spent the last 30 years hiking both sides of the continental divide where there is never enough water I was scratching my head
when you were talking/hiking to a water source while standing on 2 feet of snow with snow everywhere in your shots.
Were there fire bans so you could not do a small stick fire and melt some snow?

Thanks again for sharing a great adventure.

Thanks O&B. You would know when it comes to bears. lol
We were on very strict fire restriction because of a drought and it went pretty much 3 months without rain. We actually weren't even allowed our alcohol stoves, but kinda snuck them on the trail. It wasn't supposed to be that dry, but man was it unpleasant.
