Ok I'm driving from Atlanta to OKC and was looking for a place somewhere in between Memphis and Little Rock to Hang overnight on the way out and back. Preferably not to far off of I-40. Any suggestions?

Hanging between memphis and little rock? I hope your suspension is extra long...
But other than that, I don't really have any suggestions
Contact the BIAS (Butt in a Sling) Hammocks crew from Covington TN It is possible that they have camped around Memphis TN along the Mississippi River. All of my options will get you off your route.
I'd check out Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park just north of Memphis or Village Creek State Park near Wynne, AR. Both have campgrounds, and I believe both allow hammocks. I haven't tried Village Creek, but I know it's not too far off I-40. If you're willing to take a little bigger detour, Heber Springs, AR has campgrounds on Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River. I have stayed at both of these more times than I can count - especially at JFK Park just below the dam for the fly fishing. If you're going within the next month or two, the Dam Site campground will probably have more spots available.
Love the extra long suspension... Thanks for the suggestions. May look into Shelby Forest option. Haven't been in that area since I was a young Marine in Millington.

+1 on Village Creek State Park. Its on Crowley's Ridge so it is a nice break from the flat rice and soybean fields on that stretch.
Ok I ended up getting an early start on the day due to me overlooking the change of daylight savings time. So I ended up going a bit further out of the way. Stayed at Lake Ouachita State Park in Hot Springs. Was a nice little spot.

Lake Ouachita SP is very nice indeed. Hope you enjoyed your stop here in the Natural State!
