For me, with a double layer sewn pluq that has no extra insulation, about 55 was a lowest I could take it. I'm a cold sleeper.

I can't get below about 55 to 60F with my PLUQ. I tried it one night when it got down to 47F. That is when a JRB down UQ showed up at my house

    I'm an exceptionally warm sleeper.

A no-sew PLUQ has taken me as low as 41* F. For most folks, I'd recommend the mid forties to low fifties.

A sewn-up PLUQ with a layer of InsulBright has taken me as low as 25* comfortably. For most folks, I'd recommend about freezing for that.

    Hope it helps!

I've done a single layer, with a wool blanket inside, between those a mylar/plastic tarp down to 24*, No wind. I had a pretty robust sleeping bag on top. I can stay pretty comfortable with the single layer and wool blanket attached down to 30s or so.

    Take it easy,

I would suggest planning no lower than 50º. I've been to 45º with no wind and a ccf pad under my legs and been comfortable. I could tell in the morning that some wind would have made it a cold night.

33, but I did slide one of the cheap foam pads between the PLUQ and the hammock.

    With the following setup:
    -DIY Double layer hammock
-.25" blue CCF pad between the layers
    -PLUQ (see note below)
    -PLTQ
    -Longjohns + track pants
    -Synthetic puffy vest
    -lightweight fleece shirt
    -Balaclava

Down to around 45F with lots of wind. I was pretty cold though and ended up pulling the PLTQ over my head in order to sleep comfortably.

NOTE: I tried the PLUQ folded as a 3/4 quilt and then unfolded as a full length quilt. I felt MUCH warmer with the setup above when the PLUQ was unfolded even though it was a single layer.
