I go by myself most of the time. Get way back in the woods. See critters but we don't bother each other.

Worst - only scare was a dream. Right at first light, that dream you have that seems so real, something brushed up under my hammock down at my feet, so I kicked it and it pushed back and I started kicking for all I was worth - and then I woke up. Boy did I feel silly.

The Scariest thing to happen to me while in one of my hammocks? Why there is video.

Skip ahead to 11:30 if you want to see just the "scary" part. Warning, bad language escaped my lips when the moment occured. Earmuffs Kids.

one night last winter I had an owl fly right over my hammock---you could hear the air thru his feathers (owls are pretty stealthy, so if I could hear him, he was really, really close!) I'm guessing he didnt know what the hammock was? Shortly afterwards, there were 2 owls calling back and forth---not scary, but pretty neat!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

i was in my hammock one night and i noticed an unusual sound in the distance and laying there and imaginations start kicking up. 10 to 15 min later it gets closer and begins to take on the sound of girl screaming for somebody but can't make out the name. well it continued to get closer and finally it hit me that a wandering Bobcat was close..hehe screeching screaming sound made my hair stand up for a while but i managed to get back up and stoke the fire for little while longer and all was quiet for the remainder of the night.

Basement of the Palmerton Jail hostel.... I sat back in my hammock and for the first time ever, sat down in the under quilt instead of the hammock, It flipped me back and I hit the back of my head on the concrete floor. I was worried for several moments that I had just killed myself with a basal skull fracture.

Fortunately that hasn't to me yet. Have gotten leg cramps while tent camping and been brutal.
    Is it hang time yet?
