JRB 11x10 tarp- its in the mail

I managed to sell off some of my gear from my ground days, and I have a trip planned mid Nov. I hoped to hold off and purchase a new tarp with the season sales, but I couldn't wait. I wanted a tarp that could do it all, and still not kill my back. The JRB guys have been fantastic so far, so I didn't blink when I pulled the trigger. Can you blame me? Has anyone used this tarp? Was it a great buy?

Have you seen this video? I love the offset RL on this tarp to give you more material on one side than the other.

honestly, this video is one of the reasons I ordered the tarp. I give Jack two thumbs up. Great videos, products, and customer service.

Great tarp! I have used mine in the winter for a number of years now.

I am interested in getting this tarp. How's the coverage in the door mode? This is a great video.

I LOVE my JRB 10 x 11 tarp! The most versatile tarp I have ever used, well made and nothing you don't need.

Coverage in door mode: Depends on what you mean by coverage. To me coverage is how well it covers my hammock and protects from wind and rain; in that respect it is awesome. If you mean can you hold a barn dance under it in storm mode; then the answer is no. It's big enough to take care of business while in storm mode, but just big enough.

I have spent time under it in storm mode and what I do is hang the hammock from the center tab on the ridgeline. Easy to sit under it when the hammock is out of the way.

That said, I hardly ever use it in storm mode, just not my thing; plus, we don't get snow, ever.

    You will love this tarp!

Rat tks for reply. I live in southern California and think this would be a killer tarp for my conditions. Black friday
can't come quick enough. Might be on sale but if not at least free shipping.

The day the tarp arrived in the mail, I headed out for a 3 night trip. To summarize, its exactly what I expected. Mother nature did toss some rain my way, and the tarp flat out stopped it. One funny thing, the next day when I went to pack up the tarp...I proceeded to "stuff" it in my sack. This was the approach I used in my previous tent days. The more I tried to stuff the tarp, the more it pushed its way back out of the bag. It was so slick, there was no keeping this tarp in there. It was alive...it was funny. I did write Jack and ask him what do they recommend...to stuff or fold the tarp. He wrote me right back with the "fold" recommendation. This allows the tarp to calm down and sit in the bag (my words). In addition, you are able to control where the suspension is placed in the bag, to avoid creating those accidental holes. I love this tarp and am so happy with the purchase.
