I am of average weight 235 and just over 6'5" and thinking of getting longer hammock, will I have a noticeably different experience? I am an UL backpacker so I am also looking to keep weight down.
Thanks for any feedback in advance

Hi Ray welcome to the forum. I am only 5'9" and find there is something magical about an 11'x60" hammock and I have owned or layed in most brands offered around here.
Like O&B I love my 11' x 60" hammocks. However, I have a few 10.5' hammocks that are pretty good too.

Skip the 11' and go to 11.5' with a 116" ridgeline. HUGE INCREASE in comfort vs. 10.5' for me at 6'3". Best thing I have done since I started hanging.
All of my hammocks that I use are now 11.5' Argon 1.6 single layer.
I'm 6' and my 10.5' DIY is the best I've ever slept in. I have a 11' dream hammock and it's great also.
For comparison my 10' WBBB feels just a little too short for me. So 6"-12" made a difference for me.
I went with Simply Light Designs 12' SL as per FoxPoop. Simple, easy, lite & no frills. I will review and post.
Thanks to all for your input
At your height of 6'-5" you will definitely feel the extra comfort of the 11' hammock!

Because this is a family show... I'll keep the obvious joke to myself. I said out loud with my wife in the room and got the "stop being a 15yr old boy" stink eye glare. That said. I'm not 6'5 (6'2ish) and went from an ENO DBL Nest which is almost 9.5' in length to a Warbonnet Traveler which I believe is a 10' hammock. It was a world of difference. I'm planning to make myself a 12' hammock this winter just to see how much of a difference that will make. Probably overkill for me, but I'd rather have too much hammock than not enough.
Hi Ray and Rob, you guys need to consider what size of tarp you plan to use with these 12'ers unless they are for indoor or afternoon lounging and not for overnite camping.
End coverage for windy rainy conditions can be an issue. Many if not most here are hammock campers so we tend to make recommendations thinking of the complete hammock system
along with pack weight and volume.

There are plenty of 12' tarps out there.
