    From the Dream Hammock site;
    When you don't need the netting or overcover, just enjoy laying in the ThunderBird topless. The netting and/or overcover are completely removeable.
    Looking at the T-bird specs it is easy to see some obvious tactical advantages...like the ability to unzip and exit from either side. Yup, easy to see the AF snake eaters using these. Especially in jungle environments or when wanting the ability to go into serious stealth mode for a rest up.

    Like I said, I'm sure they have other intended uses. I was just referring to how we used to use them.

    I think AHE could corner the market on the Sniper Hammock Chair. Got 2 deer out of mine last year (Montana allows two tags).

    Supposedly someone in the Air Force saw somebody's set up, and that got the ball rolling. My guess is that these were slated for the PJ's ( Para Jumpers, Special Forces), but that's just a guess. I figure someone out there knows more about this, and I'd love to hear about it. Some of these guys probably joined this forum. It would be great to see a "Group Hang" of 14 identical hammocks and uq's in brown, and what tarps do they have? There's just so many questions about this!
    Donna here...back in 2012, We modified 10 Hennessy Hammocks with the Mod #4 for an United States Air Force SSgt. He also bought quilts from HG and JRB. They were sent overseas somewhere. Pretty cool for all of us!

    Then there is the part about holiday shopping for friends and relatives on the taxpayer's dime... kidding, sorta...

    Still, it would be a gas to see Shug circling around the bay of a C-130 on a unicycle juggling grenades then flipping into the hammock as he tosses them out the tail
    Happy Trails to one and all.

    Those are a obviously for a different purpose. I can't see the bug netting or over cover being much use inside s flying tin can.
    I flew in C-130s …… used to hang my hammock across the back ramp …… no jump seats for me!
