    and flights are really cheap right now (almost gas money)
    But, I guess it is the hassel of flying...security, packs checked, rental cars to trail head, blah, blah, blah

    I have had WAY more than enough of this Georgia summer! Autumn is a long time coming.... can't wait!

    This morning I heard a flock of geese honking overhead. It filled me with hope of cooler weather coming soon!

    130 miles

    Ready for the 130 miler on the A.T. the first week of second week of Oct. We will be picking up in Franklin N.C. and going to the far side of the Smokies.

    I checked and I can get a flight 1 week out from NOLA to Portland, Maine (which is only an hour or so drive to cool places up there). If only I didn't have a wedding to go to next weekend.
