I too am curious what people are using for a tarp. The miss and I slept well during our first night with this new setup. She is much happier. Now I need to prepare for rain.
We need to factor in the spreader bar potentially swinging up and down as one of us gets in or out of our hammocks. Is anyone just hanging their tarp differently than normal?
This is how I did mine, but I haven't had it in the rain.
Might be a silly question, but I want to be sure: Is there any reason not to use the DHWH on both sides of the hammock's suspension, knowing that the pole is only going to be used on one side? I'm upgrading our suspension to whoopie hooks and am thinking of getting a pair of DHWHs (instead of the single) for both my Fiance's and my hammock so we don't have to worry about remembering which side has the double hook.
If you put it on both ends you will get more of a see saw effect.

To simplify my question, can I use a DHWH just like a single WH?
Yes. I made them so you can then use it as a whoopee hook when solo.

I purchased the double hooks and love them, thanks Dutch. My wife and I each weigh 135lbs, we tried using a .433" spreader and it held but bowed slightly. I just wanted to mention this for anyone else that may try it. Also, I cut it down to 30" which works great on larger trees, but with a narrow foot end tree we end up too close together. Now using a 36" spreader 0.490" thick. It's worth slightly over doing.
