DIY Snake Skins - finishing long edge

Last night I knocked out a pair of snake skins for my new DIY tarp. My only struggle was trying to figure out how to finish the seam on the long edge of the skins. I settled on going with a french seam after attempting a felled seam, which I abandoned - too much material bunching up.

Curious how others have done it?

I didn't finish anything - sewed it, turned it inside out and was done.

I do a french seam because it looks more professional, and gives a back up in case of failure. Unless you have a free arm machine with a really small pedestal, I don't see how you could do a felled seam.

That said, a simple seam should be sufficient.

What he said. Although I found sewing tulle a giant pain in my back side.
