Question:
Does the 11 foot sock fit on a 10 foot ridgeline, or is it made to fit an 11 foot hammock which, by my calculation, would have a ridgeline of about 9 1/2 feet?

I'm pretty sure they're made to fit a hammock of the length specified, where the hammock has a ridgeline that is approximately 83% of it's length. So, a 11' bugnet would fit an 11' hammock with a 110" ridgeline.
Dutch, any update on when the 11' Winter Sock is going to be available again?

It is best to have a little extra because it is gathered on the end too. An 11 foot sock fits an 11 foot hammock and it is 11 to 11.5 feet long. I was making them exactly 11 foot long but just started making them a little longer on than the hammock.
I will put them on the site now with a little disclaimer that there is a couple days delay because the demand has been more than I can produce them. I try to stock everything so when you order I can ship it the same day. I will have to make an exception here until I get caught up.

So what would it take to make a sock for a 12' hammock.
I'm a rebel.

If you had one of these socks, could you leave the tarp home? Are they waterproof?
In about a dozen nights in a hammock, it has never rained. I've always brought my tarp but never have had to use it. The sock is a lot lighter and seems like it might be a good emergency option.
Thoughts?
Nope, it is breathable water resistant fabric, ARGON 90. It is to keep out bugs and keep in heat while giving some moisture protection for your quilt. The problem with a water proof sock is the moisture from you. It would be interesting though to see and integrated tarp to a hammock but really an HH is pretty close to that.
