Newbie to the forum from Utah

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself quickly. I converted to hanging about a year and a half ago and haven't looked back since. I've looked through this forum for help on many occasions and finally decided it was time to join. At the moment I am still fairly new to hanging so I'm still experimenting and accumulating gear. I get out and hang about 10-12 times a year, mostly overnight trips with a few 3-4 day trips mixed in. Honestly I'd like to get out more often, or at least hang overnight in the back yard more frequently but I don't currently have a good setup as far as anchor points go and my wife thinks I'm crazy when I talk about doing it. I haven't tried to convert her to hanging too much yet because I haven't even purchased all the gear I want for hanging, let alone getting another set up for her. That is part of the reason why I love this forum, lots of great DIY ideas that help those of us who can't afford all of the nicest gear out there. Thanks for all of you veterans out there who pave the way and make it so much easier for us newbies. You are a wealth of information and I appreciate you being willing to share your ideas.

    Welcome to the addiction!!

A nice little place for quick getaways is Affleck Park. It seems to always have availability and has some nice places to hang.

Addiction is a good way to describe it. Thanks for the tip on Affleck Park. I'll have to check it out.
