"'Twas a fortnight past Christmas, when all through the land
not a creature was stirring, save one steadfast band.
Their 'socks' were all hung around the fire with care,
    in
hopes that a snowstorm soon would be there"

Dutch ovens, kids, Christmas toys and friends new and old? Who wouldn't be excited about a fun little hang to ring in the New Year!

I might have some minor new toys to try, but I've come to the conclusion that new toys generally mean more weight in old pack. I guess that when you're a hanger on Sanata's naughty list, he gives you all the toys you've asked for and then makes sure that you have to hump them over a 3km portage! Yuletide justice!

We also have to figure the correct EggNog to rum ratio to prevent freezing; I'm suggesting 1:20 Nog to Rum!!!

Chard, you're quite the poet my friend! Yeah, no new toys for me because new toys are reserved for the two cute faces in my avatar. Oh the sacrifices I have to make.

I took the girls out to chop down a Christmas tree last weekend and my little daughter made me laugh. We were carrying back our tree to be trussed up and talking about trails when she turns to me and says "Dad, you spend half of your life outdoors.. You're practically a 'forest-hobo'". I laughed so hard. I'm tempted to change my username!!!

Forest-Hobo!!! Sounds like a lovely life.

Just talked to the boss, and we will be there with the youngest. Will see what we can do about some wood. What size are needed for the swiss torch?

2 hangers and me on the ground.

If this weather persists we're going to have it call this hang "Gearing down for Spring".

Cool beans, Chard. Sounds like you've got a bright young lady there for sure. I like that new jargon lingo thingy she came up with. It actually describes a few of us, that are fortunate enough to spend as much time outdoors as we do. Thumbs up to her! HH lb
