I wanted to make a multifunction item. I think all gear should serve at least 2 purposes and more if possible. This was a really simple build and if you guys can think of any other uses for it, I'd love to hear them!

Shower cap? 😃
What weight Silnylon did you use and what was the total weight?
You used Paracord?
SirMarkos,
What if you could make it into a single point Hammock Chair?
Have a gathered continuous loop attachment point at the top and would you need an adjustable channel of Amsteel around the edges?
Would also work as a "gear bucket" hung from your suspension.

Looks like something similar to what Alex has been making. http://www.2toutdoors.com/
His hammock chair can be used as a pack cover, gear hammock, rain tarp, ground tarp, wash bucket.. etc etc
I have one, its an awesome piece of kit to have. Mine weights under 9oz with 6' straps and toggle.
I'd rather be hanging.
I'm liking this a lot. I think a DIY project with RSBTR's new silnylon Multicam might work perfectly.

I don't need a cover for my pack... but I think I'm gonna have to make one anyway. Thanks for this.

Excellent video! I've made a pack cover like yours for my oversize Dana Terraplane. I made mine from syl and have both 3/32 shock cord and zing it in the same channel for hanging up my pack and/or gear near my hammock. Not strong enough for a chair - I have a separate one made with heavier material and whoopie slings.
