    amsteel sources

I've been lurking/reading this forum attempting to come up to speed on the current best practices for hammock(ing).

I am in search of several hundred feet of amsteel and wanted to know what's the best place you guys have found to get it. I'm probably looking for around 500' or so to split amongst my non-forum hanging friends.

I see there has been group buys in the past, but none as of recent. How often do they come and how do you get one going? Or is it better to just order on amazon?

    TIA

You should contact Dutch at dutchwaregear.com He gets special prices on 600ft spools. Also he's a Samson distributor. And he's easy on the eyes as well.

I spent weeks searching and the best deal I have found is to get it from dutch @ http://dutchwaregear.com/25-feet-of-amsteel.html . You may find it cheaper elsewhere until you add shipping, plus Dutch usually gets things out super fast. Unless he has just released new hammock bling, gets tons of orders, and his shipping people are sick. Welcome to the forum.

I've had really good experiences buying Amsteel from DIYGearSupply, but I don't know if they have that much available.
