South Texas Hangers ... embrace the chill.

I can't be the only one slightly excited about the drop in temps.
Here in CC, when it hits 69 the Arctic Parkas start popping up around town ... LOL.
Best take advantage while we can huh?
Spending some time in the hammock lab testing out my DIY 3 x IX UQ.
Been in and out most of the day with temps in the mid 40's ... long johns and a synthetic summer sleeping bad I chopped up a couple years back.
Pretty comfy I must say ... little cool but, I like a little A/C when snoozing.

Now, if my early Christmas would arrive (BBRR dbl) I'd be one happy hanger.

Thinkin Goose Island over-nighter in December. No skeeters ... just sayin.

Excited about the cold here in North Texas as well. Gonna spend a couple nights at Fairfield (again) this weekend with our other outdoors group. Got a couple of 'speriments going on...one is testing the warmth of a Big Agnes sleep system in a hammock, the other is UQ suspension.

And R.I.P. all you dead mosquitoes!

I'm getting the bug for bug-less camping myself. Broke out my hammock for opening weekend of bow season but am ready to do a trip now without hunting involved. I've found myself looking at new stoves and extra hammocks for my Wife and kids lately.

I was working down in Corpus Christi last week. I think we may have brought the cold weather Down with us from Wisconsin! It was definitely colder than I expected! Almost was wishing I had took some long underwear. But only when we were up 150' in the air. That wind was howling! I'll be back down on the 1st. I sure hope it warms back up by then! It's supposed to be a high of 18 with 20-30 mph winds tomorrow back here in Wisconsin.

    Also close to Corpus.
We have some winter Texans that are part of our church who were frustrated at driving the RV down from Alaska to discover it was actually warmer in Alaska than it was here! Lol.

When it got down in to the low 40's here, they had a "heat wave" putting them in the 50's up there.
