Talking Custom Phoenix 20 in HyperD 1.0

Custom order Phoenix 20 to match my Green / Gray HyperD 1.0 Dream Hammock. Had Ripstopbytheroll ship directly to them and they didn't charge anything extra.

Inside is gray like top cover and outer OD.

This is my first underquilt. Drastic difference in comfort over just a pad and easier to position. I'm 5'11 with wide shoulders and it covers from my head to just above my ankles when I'm at a diagonal.

I'm still adjusting so I got some occasional cold spots if I moved where it created a gap between hammock and quilt but overall I was comfortable down to 24 with a wind chill rating of 18. Used some extra clothing under my feet. I didn't always use the pullouts like I've shown above.

Anyone have tips on if the hammock's side pull outs should be linked to the UQ? I just have the four hooks on the ends connected but not the four actual pullouts as they don't quite align.

Lastly I'm sure all you geniuses have already thought of this but I had an idea for an add-on "Quarter Quilt." You have your 3/4 quilt and then in Winter you would hook on a much smaller additional quilt that would easily reach over your feet and you wouldn't need to own an additional full length quilt. Let me know what you think.

The "quater quilt" ideas has been mention before. But most people use a small pad (like GG pad) and/or down booties. Down booties are awesome btw!

Can't help you on the pullout but that is a great looking setup!

I've used my 40*F 3/4 quilt in conjunction with my 20*F 3/4 quilt to make full coverage on my bridge. Worked quite well. Not sure how well it would work in a GE hammock though (keeping it in place, etc..). Bridge hammocks are a lot less finicky when it comes to insulation.

1/4 quilt would need to overlap some to avoid draft's/cold spots.

A couple of years ago one of the of our cottage vendors was selling such a quilt. It was discontinued. Three season's with a snap on addition for deep Winter, 3/4 length to full length.
