Pic of noob hanging for the 1st time

I bought one of the Woot! Yukon Outfitters specials. I set it up in the backyard for the first time today. A few thoughts and questions:

    1. WOW! comfortable (compared to tenting)
    2. Holy Cow! comfortable.
    3. I played with different heights and angles and kept getting a peculiar problem: the sides of the hammock would drape over my face, even when laying at the opposite end. Is this because of the angle or is this a trait of this particular hammock?
    4. Have I mentioned how comfortable this is compared to tent camping?

From the picture, definitely the hangle; try to hit that 30° magic angle and you will be golden.

Yeah. We like it. The Shell Rock River runs right past our backyard.

    Thanks!

I use the Yukon Outfitters hammock for an every day hammock with the turtle dog stand. Try the one tree that is at the head end and one of the two trees that are growing together at the foot end they look like they are about 12' apart. along with the right "hangle" that should do it for you, in my unprofessional opinion. Have fun.

After an afternoon of pondering, I came up with the same thought...my trees were too far apart. I did watch a handful of Youtube video's last night with folks using double hammocks, it looks like the "cocoon" effect is quite common with double's. So the ol' Yukon might be used as a back-up; might try making my own.
