    Ridgerunner and superfly

Does anyone have experience with this combo. I know the cloudburst is made for the wbrr but I like the idea of the doors on the sf. As well I didn't want to purchase separate doors for a cloudburst. I just ordered the rr and sf but now am second guessing the tarp decision. Should I have went with the cloudburst. Those who have the sf and rr what are the pros and cons? Thanks

I am happy with my SF while using my RR. I see nothing but Pros in my opinion. You have the doors if you want to use a gathered end and it provided a ton of coverage! You will not regret it

I don't have experience with the cloudburst but the superfly works just fine. It works even better with a pole mod too. I have heard that the cloud burst and superfly are both the same length so you are not gaining anything on length. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Nighthauk is correct, the cloudburst is a superfly without doors, when using a rr a pole mod will help alot, Dutch or wilderness logics both sell a pole mod that will do the trick.

A superfly will be fine with the Ridgerunner (especially with a pole mod).

I think the advantages of using a Cloudburst with RR is that (1) its tie outs are aligned with the RR's spreader bars (slightly wider than on the superfly), and (2) you can hang your bug netting from small loops tied to the ridgeline inside the tarp, if need be.

Like others have said, the Superfly works fine with the RR. But, since the superfly doors are cut and the same part of the Cloudburst is not, there is more usable length with the Cloudburst. I found I didn't really use the doors that much on my Superfly so I sold it and bought the Cloudburst. Good thing is if you find you would rather have the Cloudburst, the Superfly's resale value is great, so not much risk.

Thanks everyone. I'll look into the pole mod if I feel I need a bit more space.
