Think we may have a Varying hare or 2 up there as well.. saw some tracks a little to big for cottontails.
===> Well, I may bring a couple. Hafta buy them (www.MayflowerPoultry.com), but they should still be good!

Sounds like a good time except for the cold & snow part! You guys who are into hanging out in the snow fascinate me. I just got done two hours of snow blowing and I'm over winter already!!

Not gonna happen! . Maybe fascinate is the wrong word! I don't understand. I guess my idea of camping doesn't gel with snow. What do you do all day? Just sitting around chatting when the weather is nice is one thing but when its cold and snowing?

I like to relax. Seems like there'd be a lot of work to just to stay warm, dry, and comfortable.

Different strokes for different folks I guess! I do enjoy seeing the pics and videos of these hangs.

Respect to those of you braver than me!!

===> Well, we do have a lot of cooking to do (at least at the NEHHA hangs! We also offer various class sessions all day on various outdoor skills - fire starting, Whoopie Sling making, and a bevy of other things. There is local hiking, potential ice fishing, and some great storytelling! These "winter" hangs aren't much different from our Spring or Summer hangs, except for the snow and some colder weather. We usually bring enough extra gear, and check on EVERYONE, so that NOBODY is cold, or in any danger of Hypothermia! We are NOT "braver" than anyone! Just better prepared! You should try one - you would not regret it, and would have a great (and warm!) time!

===> Thanks Joe! I will let you know, if my supplier can't provide them. Cottontails usually don't carry a lot of meat, but the pelts are awesome. Tim has me really thinking of doing a Bison dish(es) at this point though. Still might bring a coupla rabbits up anyway, and We could run a skinning and tanning clinic. Otherwise just make a nice Rabbit Stew in the Dutch Ovens. Maybe a Jamaican style Rabbit Gumbo.

    All sounds good.

On another note I am not sure how much wood we will have up there. It seems to be buried somewhere on the property. With that said if everyone can bring up some wood that would be awesome.
