    Ozark Highlands Trail - Pics

We enjoyed a great weekend hiking Section One of the Ozark Highlands Trail from Lake Fort Smith trailhead to White Rock Mountain. Beautiful time of year in the Ozarks, but as the pics show the weather can change very quickly... we had sunshine, rain, sleet, and snow during this trip. Here are some pics from the trip to give you an idea what this part of the country looks like:

Temps ranged from high 30's to low 20's... that snow squall really moved in fast.

Really enjoyed the photos. Looks like you can start work on a coffee table book about abandoned fireplaces But I feel sorry for your hands in that last pic. They had to have been cold!!

In one of Shug's videos, he suggested wearing Wristies .... I've been using them the last two winters and they keep your hands surprisingly warm while still giving full dexterity of your fingers. Highly recommend them (and they're endorsed by Shug).
