I heard trail talk of the Hennessy Hammock while doing a thru hike of the AT in 2002. Without even seeing one I placed an order while on the trail. I picked the HH up at Damascus and used it the rest of way to Mount Katahdin. It was one of the early models before the asym. As best I remember, I only met two other hangers on the trail that year. If I hadn't gone to hanging, I don't think I would have finished the AT. I currently have a big Brazilian hammock hanging in my house that I sleep in nightly. I'm getting the itch for another long distance hike and running across this forum has been a revelation. There are tons of good information and innovative ideas here. My thanks to those of you who are sharing your knowledge here. JR2Dogs was my trail name on the AT.
