    Help with first time setup

Ok so I just got my skeeter beeter in the mail last night and went to hang it up this afternoon to see how it was. I got it set up with the bug netting up and when I laid inside of it the sides of the hammock and the bug net are very loose and hanging over my head. How do I get it to where the sides don't overlap on top of me?

you are sapost to lay on a diagonal to the hammock if you do it should pull the sides out (that's not the reason for the diagonal lay its that with the right amount of sag laying diagonally makes for a very flat lie)

Make sure the tie outs for the net are not tied together. Each side should tie to the tree separately and with the knots pulled to the same side of the tree. Should you be trying the setup with a small pole, the symptoms will go away more with a bigger tree.

Now that I have made that clear as mud......

I tied the loops on the bugnet higher up on the tree and used only one line for all 4 loops. It didn't allow the net to spread out as it is designed but it did keep it up and off of my face. I would recomend using shock cord to do it because I used para cord and it ripped the loops out of the net.The net seems pretty fragile, I also ripped it near the zipper just unzipping it, so be careful. I never figured out how not to have the sides engulf me so I replaced it with a Warbonnet Blackbird.

You are so right. My mistake. I stand corrected.

Tried it out today and I got real comfortable laying diagonal and it fixed the problem of the sides overlapping inward. Can't wait to hang for the first time of the chattooga river this labor day weekend.
