    How to order a Phincubator?

Interested in buying a Hammock Gear Phincubator 20 - which, based on my research, is a mix between a Phoenix and an Incubator.

The question is: how to order this on Hammock Gear's site? I assume I have to select custom work but don't want to word it incorrectly. Do you specify the extra length you need or is it a standard length? What is the additional price?

I'm sure folks will direct me to Adam and Jenny but I am afraid they are about to be quite busy!

    Any help and guidance appreciated.

Call them up. I'm sure they're busy but they should be more than happy to work with ya. You will be paying them so don't feel bad for taking up their time...unless you were afraid they are busy and you won't be able to get in touch with them, which in that case I'm not sure I have an answer for ya. I definitely wouldn't order anything custom like that without talking over the phone or multiple emails to make sure both of you are on the same page with expectations.

Definitely call them. I called them last week to order the same thing. Described why I wanted it. and he steered me a slightly different way. Just found out it shipped yesterday so I should have it tomorrow. To bad it is a Christmas gift and It most likely will be opened then. I might take it out and make sure it is what I want.

Is there a structural difference between an Incubator and a Phoenix? I just assumed Phoenix was a short Incubator.

Better to think of it as a Phoenix with an extra long foot/leg section, in my opinion.

It's sized to cover the torso like a Phoenix, covering the neck and shoulders, but instead of having a short leg shelf that extends to the knee on most people, they make it full length to cover down past your feet.

If you just order a short Incubator, then they make the whole thing proportionally smaller. That effectively would shift the spot where the leg shelf begins, and could potentially cause a weird fit and/or air gaps.

Nighthauk, what did Adam recommend, and why, if I may ask?

I just started thinking about a Phincubator. More out of boredom than anything else. Don't need any more gear!!

But a 30° Phincubator sounds like a nice addition. Got a price from HG, so I'm gonna consider it over the next few days...

I absolutely love mine except I went with a phin 40F! I have a regular 30 as well. If you have any questions let me know.

    Holy thread resurrection, Batman!

I have to say I'm glad it got bumped. I never knew such an animal existed. This sounds perfect for a summer solution in my AO.

Wow, I was the OP on this. I got a HG top quilt instead and a jarbidge underquilt. Now I'm wanting one again!
