I have added 3 foot wide Tyvek to the site for the DIYers. Tyvek makes a great ground cloth and I used a 6 foot long piece that made it though my entire thru hike. If you wash it, it gets nice and soft while still keeping its moisture protection. I like to use it also to make different gear pouches. Works well for stake bags because it is puncture resistant. You don't have to sew it and packing tape works real well to construct your DIY project. One of the best parts is you can buy it by the foot for only 70 cents per foot. Each 3 foot by 1 foot section only weighs 17 grams.

The pictures on the site indicate DuPont Tyvek.

Washing machine in cold water. I still have that piece of Tyvek too. The light color is nice because you can lay your stuff out on it and it is highly visible.

Search the Googles he's not the first. But it's a darn good price and combined with his very reasonable shipping and prompt service, I'd say this is a great source.
