Help me choose HG Incubator 20 or UGQ Zeppelin 20

I'm going to buy an underquilt to use with a Warbonnet Blackbird gathered end hammock. My wife who is 140 lbs and 5'5" will be the primary user. I will use this when backpacking solo and I am 5'10" 250lbs. (soon to be 200, I hope).

I am looking at the Hammock Gear Incubator 20 and the Underground Quilts full length Zeppelin 20. I'm trying to make sure I'm comparing apples to apples. When both quilts use 850 water-resistant goose down, the Zeppelin is 4-3/4 oz. heavier and $20 more expensive. The Zeppelin is wider and has one more oz of fill which explains part of the increased weight. UGQ lists the baffle height of the down channels as 2.5" Hammock Gear does not list the baffle height of the Incubator.

I have not see a good photo of the hammock side of the Incubator. I have seen on the Zeppelin that there are draft tubes (collars) along both sides and at the head and foot. Are there draft tubes on the Incubator as well?

Hrmmm...Caddy or Lincoln? You really can't go wrong with either. As a side sleeper I prefer a straight rectangle UQ.

Yes, the Incubator has draft tubes at both the head and foot end. I've never used a Zeppelin, but I have the Incubator 20 and I love it. From what I've read here on the forum, I would think you would be very happy with either. Here's a couple pics of my Incubator 20 and Burrow 20 combo to entice

i know with my cousins full length incubator 0 the quilt is made with an offset for your buttox so that your hang would not compress the insulation like alot of previous models. That was a plus for him bc it allows the quilt to fit the body better underneath. I dont know if zeppelin is like this but worth keeping on the checklist

Either quilt will be great I'm sure, I have heard more about Hammock Gear's quilts which is why I went with them. Definitely not upset with my choice, the incubator is a fantastic underquilt

My son and I have a total of three HG sets, we really love them. I am sure you'll be fine with either.

I too am a HG Incubator 0º owner. I like the butt box on the Incubator but my girl has a straight cut rectangle. She's a side sleeper so it works perfect for her. You really can't go wrong with either.
