I may be able to do this one. I have never been to the Green Swamp, although it is on my list of places to visit. My concern is the length of the hike, I would have a hard time with an 18 mile day. I don't know how other people feel. Are you planning a loop or linear hike?

It will be good to see old friends again and add some new faces to the hangs.

The Foster Bridge campsite looks to be 10 miles ish. That would be reasonable.
Friday at Gator hole
Saturday at Foster Bridge.
vary the route one day to the next.
And--don't leave the 20 miles to me. I don't do them either.

So
Is 12/12 the start date?
Is Gator Hole the first night camp site?
If so, I can take it from there. Looking forward to seeing some "It's too hot" faces again. <G>

Looks like everything is coming together.
Tomorrow I'll call SWFWMD and make sure we can reserve those two sites.
12/12 - Gator Hole
12/13 - Foster Bridge
It'll be a short hike Friday, about 10 miles on Saturday, and I have an idea on how to cut down the distance Sunday to something a little more reasonable.
I can be at the McNeil gate by noon on Friday. I'd like to leave the permits on another vehicle and take whoever would like a little longer hike to the main gate near Dade City. That way we could have a car to shuttle everyone back to the McNeil gate and make the Sunday hike about 4-6 miles instead of 10+. Just an idea.
Just checked with my wife and she will pick us up at the Dade City trailhead Sunday and carry everyone back to the McNeil entrance.
