    Foothills Trail

I hiked the foothills trail with a group of 16-18 year old scouts a few weeks ago. I have tons of video and still footage to make a "Grizz-styled documentary", but below is the short version to be played in a Court of Honor Wednesday, mostly as a propaganda aimed at the younger scouts, I think.

Will post the long version soon. We did 75 miles in 5 days -- 20 miles on the last day.

    Here is the video:

    An excellent hiking experience!

It's been a long time since I've seen a frog that large.

I liked the sprint at the end. My guys like to do that too, particuarly going down hills

Great video. I think our Scout Troop will be hiking a section of the Foothills Trail in November, so this was especially relevent for me!

Great video. You really need to jack that noise (music) DOWN, though. Otherwise, it was fun.

The frog was large, and some of the boys thought it would make a nice dinner, but we convinced them to let it go. The same fate didn't fall to the large black snake the next day, probably because no sane adult was near when the encounter occurred. Snake roasted over an open fire is a bit rubbery, although it does taste like chicken

As for the race -- i've been talking up a storm about how fast I was in my day, but I knew that particular boy is much faster than I. So, I insisted on wearing packs, thinking that pack to body weight ratio and a properly fitting pack would give me an advantage. I was right, and I think I'll retire from foot races while I'm on top . . . .

Nice video! I've been wanting to hike that trial for a while. It was nice to see what it actually looked like. Looks like you guys had alot of fun too.
