Would REALLY like to buy a BB 1.7 Double...

I'd really like to get into hammock camping, but funds are terrible right now and I don't see them getting better anytime soon. If anyone is interested in parting with a Warbonnet BB 1.7 double, I'd love to have a chance at buying it. I missed one two days ago on the for sale section. It was "used" one (set up once) that went for $150, which would have been perfect!!! However, I was too slow on the draw and it was bought by someone else.

    Thanks, I appreciate it!

Why not just spend an extra $10.00 and get a NEW one? Makes more sense.....

Maybe I'm way off then? The quote I had from the gentleman at Warbonnet was $260 plus $10 shipping.

Had to have been a typo. I got the double 1.7, and 3 sets of ring/ buckle suspension for $200, with shipping.

Just be prepared to wait a couple weeks when you order it. It will be the hardest weeks of your life.

Now I am confused. Does the $160 include a tarp?

Ahh... the quote was for a tarp as well as the hammock. I guess tarps go for $100 plus. I guess I could get a new hammock and then add a tarp as funds allow.

I don't know what type of camping you are going to do, but there is always the cheap blue tarp are the Sportsman's Guide tarp, or the Claytor diamond Tarp that wont cost you much, until you can afford a top of the line tarp. BTW, I still use a blue tarp in the backyard, and love to use my Claytor Diamond tarp ($45, shipping included) when backpacking. Waiting for cold weather to use my new SWT.
