    Making huggers for whoppie slings

Hey guys, just tinkering, and wondering what kinda slings can be made from huggers for whoppie slings?

I am familiar with the marlin spike setup, with a loop on one end of the webbing, its what i am currently using.

Are there other ways to make the whoppie sling work with huggers? Perhaps a loop in both end of the huggers? how would that work?

Also how long are the huggers for your whoppie seup?

and which setup (1 loop or two) are you using for your whoppies?

Finally how long are you guys whoppie slings too?

    thanks guys.

You can sew a loop in to the end and attach the Whoopie Sling to it, but then you lose the added adjustability that comes with using the hugger with a marlinspike hitch, with the two points of adjustability being the Sling itself and from moving the toggle/marlinspike hitch. I've cut my huggers to 7 feet, but that's just me. I can always take them shorter if I like.

I cut my huggers down to 6 feet and use the toggle in the loop. My slings are adjustable out to 5 feet.

Adjustability on them is about 2 feet, but I'm ordering more Amsteel to make that significantly longer.

How long are you gonna make your new one? Also do you prefer 7/64 or 1/8 amsteel?

On each side mine adjust from 1' to about 6' and are fixed to the hammock, so that measurement is from the end of the hammock.
