WTB List - Tarp , survival items , misc.

I am going on a overnight kayaking trip and thought before I spent the money for it that I might see if anyone has some of the stuff that I need.
    I need:
A tarp large enough to cover my skeeter beeter
    Light my Fire: Fire steel
    Water Purifier
    550 paracord
    Whistles
    Flashlights
    Ponchos
    Headlamps
    MRE's
    Hammock suspension system
That aught to do it but if you have any similar necessities than feel free to post them.

I'm pretty sure I've got a whistle in storage at my folks' place. Might be heading over there this evening, I'll report back if I find it!

I've got a crazy heavy headlamp that you can have if you want it. It's an Energizer one (the big one) that I use very occasionally when car camping. It's nice and bright, but heavy.

Sounds like a trip to Walmart, to me. A lot of these are so inexpensive it probably isn't worth shipping costs. For kayaking you could even get away with a big ol' blue cheap tarp.

Cannibal I will pick up on that headlamp as long as shipping is reasonable. Could you tell me how much it is and I can send you paypal? Is the lamp like the size of a persons fist or larger?

Yea don't really know why I posted whistles it was just on the list of things I needed, I found some aluminum ones off of campingsurvival.com for only 50 cents a piece. Figure in a couple of days I will just order off of there, as even with shipping cost the overall cost is cheaper than a trip to walmart or a sporting goods store.

Go to walmart and pick up all, or most of the things on your list.
They do have rope, webbing for suspension, flashlights, tarps, food, water filters and water treatment tablets, and even whistles.
I dont think your going to save any money with shipping everything across the U.S.A.
Shipping and handling fees will kill the whole concept of trying to save money, unless you buy everything from one source and pay a one time shipping and handling fee.

By the time you get done with paypal, PM messaging everyone and S&H, you could have got everything at WMart.
    Just my two cents.
