I certainly see the novelty of using poles for things like this and the tarp. However, for backpacking don't all these extra poles add lots of weight and bulk? Are these just for car camping?

Coii. how long are your poles? and if you were to start from scratch how long would you make them? alittle longer or shorter?

I think the length is perfect. My plan is to use one for the tarp and one for the BB. I got the poles from Dutch. Here's a link with all the info.

Yeah, i forgot that Dutch had the specs on his site,, i have the poles to make my own and just wanted to be sure the size was perfect and that you weren't just settling because that's what you had.,,.. thanks
