Just got a Ridgerunner and want to utilize the Komperdell Carbon C3 Duo Lock (twistlock type) CF poles that I hike with for spreader bars. They are discontinued, but they look like this:

Has anyone done a mod with a pole that has this type of handle? (I've seen the mod on youtube where the top of the Leki pole handle is removed and the WB stock piece is inserted, but my pole handle does not do that.)

Unsure how the RR is setup but I use that exact style (not same model) of pole with my DIY Bridge. I am able to open the amsteel loops that connect to the webbing loops of the bridge and slide in my grips of my poles. Same with the tips. Works perfectly fine. Note: I'm 160lbs. YMMV.

Your method would not work. I'm looking for a mod that gives me a tip at the top of the trekking pole that can insert into the aluminum receptacle on the hammock.
If you look long enough here, https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...spreader%20bar, I think you will find that someone has screwed a hanger bolt into the top of their poles (with a safety know screwed on while hiking).

You're probably better off buying poles with camera mounts built in.
