I was on my regular Walmart fabric department scouting, and I swear this stuff they have there is identical to noseeum netting. Can this be true? What makes the stuff sold as noseeum special? Strength?

I have some Wallyworld stuff that has really small holes like noseeum. I'm sure there's lighter stuff out there, but I'll be using this for my bug nets until I get my system perfected. Then I might shell out the bucks for nanoseeum, which is much lighter than what I have.

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
I've seen some really fine-holed stuff at Walmart too. I t-hought about buying some, but I was worried about the durability - it ripped at the edge with the slightest pressure. Then I considered that real noseeum might be just as flimsy, but after having worked with some, it's actually quite strong. You can find the real thing pretty cheap, so I'd stay away from the Walmart stuff. Assuming you found the same type mesh that I did.

I saw someone like you are talking about in the dollar bin that looked really close. Almost got some.
I am using nanoseeum for the baffles on my quilt. This stuff is very stretchy.

I bought 2 yds of a white, very (4-way) stretchy netting that looks to be very similar to what is on the ends of Speer's new fitted underquilts in the dollar bin yesterday. I'm still looking for a suitable 60" fabric for making a couple of dino hammocks since the fabric I bought for this turned out to be waterproof coated polyester.
just jeff, go for the nanoseeum.thru-hiker.com i think has the best price. with shipping i pad $20 total.

The stuff I found isn't that delicate. I'm sure I could rip it on a raw edge if I tried, but I'm not worried about it falling apart with regular use.

I just got some of this stuff at Wally World. It's white and strong. No matter how hard I tried I could not poke my finger through it. Best of all, it's in the $1 section. I brought 8 yds ome to experiment with, then I'll get the real stuff.
