UQ Soft Seal

Hey all. I would put the challenge out there for someone to design a foam, fabric, fleece strip that would attach to the end lengths of a UQ. The idea is that it would seal out airflow better than cinched grosgrain.

Bonus points for making it dual purpose.

It already exists as a collar. Most UQ makers have them.

Now the challenge would be to make it removeable for your dual purpose.

I haven't bought a UQ in a couple years. Both of mine just have grosgrain over shockcord.

What kind of material do they use?

It's just a baffle filled with down that seals.

I often zip my coat/jacket(s) around the end of the hammock so that the hammock suspension is running through the neck of the jacket. This helps seal the ends of the UQ - and is a great dual purpose.
