    Distances between side pull-outs

Does anyone else have an issue with the distance the side pull-out are spaced? My thought is that when using a "V" cord to pull the side outwards it tends to squeeze the tarp together. Has anyone sewn them closer together then what is done on a Superfly? I am thinking of ordering a new tarp and having them installed closer together. I have a 10x10 OES with one pull-out on each side. The internal space is increased but would like just a bit more room.

They are farther apart on my cloudburst and it creates a lot of room for my ridgerunner

there is a video on his site aswell, you could get these for very little money and experiment with them ,to see where gives you the most room, before ordering a new tarp and kinda guessing where you want the tie out sew in ,maybe you wont even need a new tarp ,for the price it might be worth a shot

I recently used a continuous line from my ridge line tie out, through both panel pulls, and back to the opposite r/l tie out. It creates an outward force vector, so the tarp isn't pinched. Worked out really nice this weekend.

Here it is set up in my yard.

I can't take credit for this, I saw someone who posted this method on here and decided to try it out. Can't remember who, or in what thread though.

I used mason's line for the cord.

    I like that. Good idea.
Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks.

Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks!

The problem that occurs is that it bunches up when the pulls are spread out. The poles look nice, but when you set up under a hammock longer sticks and cord are needed for more height. Less of a triangle helps as well, causing the pull force to go more outward. I guess what I think is the pulls should be closer together then on the Superfly.
