I think you have those swapped...It's 300' from developed trail/road and 100' from base of cliff or back of rock shelter.

+1 on those sites. If they've been roped off they should have been there in the first place. I think over the last you few years they've made an effort to start enforcing that rule.

Looks like a great group hang. I really appreciated a look at the various rigs and how they were set up--always something new to learn.

This is correct. The only sites I've ever seen roped off were basically right along an official USFS trail. I've been really close to ranger Rick-ing a few groups too. The worst was a small group of ground dwellers that were camping under a rock shelter about 20' from a trail... double whammy. It's kind of sad because the rules are very straight forward and there are a plethora of legal spots to camp if you know what you're doing/looking for!

Last spring was there. Seemed every campsite was roped off by the Rangers for reclamation. Did they open those up?
Rule of thumb is get out of the low lands out there unless your in the wilderness section.

It was my pleasure! I could have been more efficient bringing the extra gear, I hauled the 3 extra hammocks up one at a time! But I welcomed the opportunity for a great trail run, and I had a blast doing it!
