What should my second hammock be?

I love my WBBB, but I'm thinking about getting something more packable and lighter. Not that I have a problem with the current weight and volume; just wanting another option. I'm having trouble deciding, plus the 10' vs 11' threads keeps getting my attention.

I'm looking for something simple without a bugnet. Maybe even whoopie slings - something I have not tried yet. I'm thinking about staying with a 10'. I do have a Grand Trunk UL, but I can't sleep long periods of time in that one.

The Warbonnet Traveler caught my attention just because I like my WBBB so much. Dutch Argon and Dream Hammock 1.6D Freebird also on my radar.

I'm 5'9", 160lb so a lighter fabric/single layer should be fine. Using HG Incubators.

I'm sure any of them would be fine. But what do you think?

Maybe make your own. You can custom make your length. Add whoopies after.

I made an 11 footer out of Argon 90 with Dynaglide whoopies & camo straps. Weighs 11.5 oz. Pretty comfy.
I'm the same height as you, but 10# lighter.

1.1, 10ft BIAS WWM with Knotty mod.

Having gone from a WBB with the foot box, you're apt to really miss it with a plain gathered end.

That was my story at least. My WWM is now my go to.

I have a question on hammock length. I measured my ENO SN from gathered-end to gathered-end at 8 ft 6 in. Most people mention 10 ft or 11 ft hammocks. Am I measuring from the wrong points or is my hammock really that much shorter than other hammocks?

My ENO DN is about that length. Enos are short and at 6ft tall I found some squashing of my feet, although due to the generous width you can get a decent lay eventually. I have gone to 11 footers and although they are narrower they tend to be more comfortable for me, and they ended up lighter than my ENO DL ( I alreday had converted the suspension on the ENO. If you want to try longer, Dutch's are a good deal if you don't want to sew. PS the ENO is now my gateway hammock for friends...

One hammock? How do you do that?

I really like my PolyD 1.4 hammock from Dutch. It's the most comfortable hammock I've ever slept in (not a fan of stretch).

If you are not prone to DIY, give a look at the WL Snipe.
Wicked comfortable and it comes with full whoopie suspension.
    Quick turn around time too.

Since you're already considering it I'd suggest going with the Dutch Argon. I find mine to be really soft and comfortable. The price can't be beat, and if you don't like it you're not out a lot of money. Heck, you could get a PolyD one for comparison while you're at it. It'll be easy to turn over the loser of the shootout in the For-Sale forum. Plus you're likely to want some Ti stuff to hang it, so it consolidates shipping costs. If you haven't bit at speed hooks yet I'd suggest going that route.

Plus if you order everything from Dutch you'll likely receive it last Thursday.

My thoughts as well .. I look at hammocks as a tool .. The right tool for the right job ... Can't go wrong with the WL Snipe .. Love mine when I want comfort, light weight, and don't need a net, the WBBB has become my go to for bug nets, I have a few I made that are lighter and they have their place .. When shaving grams .. Comfort is a comprise .. My WBRR with no net .. Using trekking poles .. Is starting to edge out my Snipe, sorry Marty, .. The WBRR is by far the most comfortable hammock I've slept in .. YMMV
