    Newest DIY UL Hammock

At 9.5 x 4.5 feet it's barely big enough but it weighs only 7.5 ounces or 215 grams, including suspension.

I'm using Dynaglide for suspension, continuous loops, and structural ridge line, 50 feet in all. At the tree are Whoopie Hooks by Dutch and at the hammock are Hammockfan's Anchors.

It's made of 1.2 ounce PolyD from Dutch and has a knobby end for hanging the UQ.

Really like this PolyD material. It feels stronger than the MARPAT rip stop I used this past season.

Sweet hammock! I just got a sample pack from ripstopbytheroll.com and was pulling at the 1.0 oz HyperD and it was deforming a decent amount, but I couldn't do the same with the 1.6 oz HyperD sample. I don't see 1.2 oz HyperD - is it only available at certain times? I'm getting a sewing machine for Christmas this year so am considering all the options, I wonder if the 1.0 oz won't be tough enough for my 200 lb. self.

Oops, bccarlso, I got that 1.2 from Dutch -- it's PolyD! Very nice stuff!

Corrected my post above. Polyester -- no wonder it feels so strong. It's not stretchy.
