    MBD Solo

Used only in house to test against other MBD CABs and compare glass against felt wick. This is ~0.5oz (stove alone) CAB. Not a hot burner, but very fuel efficient. Ideal for the ultralightweight conscious tramper that doesn't mind spending time cooking. Total weight is ~1 oz.
    Kit includes:

    1. MBD Solo with carbon felt wick
    2. one section of spare body tubing
    3. fuel line plus DIY Rx vial remote
    4. one spare wick

Price: $21.79 (includes shipping to USA lower 48 states) PayPal

What are the boil times, and are you actually able to cook with it? Or is it just a water boiler? It looks very small.

Mine takes about 10 to 12 minutes for 1 1/2 cup water. 1/2 ounce of fuel or less. I like it but it is slower. Nice when you want light .... and no priming.
I have not tried but you could do some cooking with it I think. Gonna test that.
What would you cook? Eggs? Meat? M-m-m-m-m-

I only boil water with the CABs. The BIOS#2 I own has 3-4x the heat production, but consumes fuel at a much higher rate/oz of water heated. It is probably the better choice for cooking, but no real control. Full on or off more or less. IMHO, the CABs are best suited for boil, rehydrate method of cooking where fuel efficiency, compact size and weight are important.Solo$SP9010073.JPG

It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
