    First diy complete

With the help of the "my take on the diy hennessy hammock" thread from headchange4u and some videos from xtrekker, I have finally completed my first hammock. It turned out great. I just can't believe that I actually made this.
    11ft x 56 wide
    Double layer 1.1oz ripstop
Diy whoopies and straps with toggles
I took a lot of pictures.
Sewing was new to me and so was the 1969 Kenmore that I resurrected. I've learned so much in the last month or so. Now on to tarp and under quilt.

It was alot of fun and what a sense of accomplishment...

Thank you and you should just jump right in and give a try.

Thanks...I will be making the wife one next I'm sure. She already has big bright pink plans...lol I enjoyed putting some finished touches on it to kind of bring it to another level. Your videos were a huge help.

looks great! I do not have that talent.

Thank you. It's amazing how well these things turn out even with out the experience. The imperfections are hard to see. What I'm getting at is I think some parts are actually easier than it looks.

Again, the sense of accomplishment is unreal. I'm really proud of what I did. My friends and family are amazed. Thanks everyone!

Congratulations, that looks awesome. Now your only problem is going to be trying not to make things. I'm guessing you were a maker before your hammock project, and you've just recently turned your attention to hammocks. If not, you're in for a fun ride as you start exploring all the stuff that's possible.

    Congrats and have fun. Brian
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
