Apparently I was on the nice list this year. Got a Hubsan X4 quadcopter (still learning to fly), a UCO tealight candle lantern, a pocket rocket stove knock-off, some pipe tobacco and some Dutch goodies...ti cinch buckles, dutch biners, a sit pad and a pack hanger...which are getting a test drive in the back yard tonight. May be sellin off a couple sets of descender rings soon...

Got a custom made HG UQ in purple! Should bring me down lower than I've ever been.
Also got a fur lined trapper hat and some new buffs. Lost mine somewhere on the long trail. Looks like we all got some good gear!

Ultralight down jacket! I have been trying them on for years but I could never make myself buy one.

image.jpgGot the Doonebox Drifter portable hammock-stand-in-a-bag with the extenders. Byer's Moskito stretched waaay too much (always a problem). The Treklight double (10' x 6.5) looked as if it would work but my butt was on the ground. I think the width is the problem. Both the DD Hammock Superlight and the Switchback Original looked as if they would work, but I was not about to remove the tree hanging rigging (Amstel loops/whoopies and straps).

The Boonedox Hammock (approx $120 - they have a single and a double layer) is 10.5' x 62". And I think they use that without the extenders. I REGRET SELLING MY SWITCHBACK HIKER! And the McCat Deluxe tarp.

So I've ordered a cheapie parachute nylon hammock (9' x 4'7" ?) with what I had left on an Amazon gift card.

Dave (Brad no longer there) has been very concerned and asked me to send pix, which I haven't done yet. The hammocks hang from biners clipped onto the center pin so I'll need a dedicated hammock since I don't want to mess about with my tree-hanging hammocks. The stand seems to be great. I just need to find the right mate.

The first photo shows my Switchback original. The last two photos are from the boonedox website. Sorry ab upside down. They show upright when I click on them. This is with the extenders.

I got my first hammock, an ENO Doublenest with Atlas straps. I'm pretty excited about sinking into the madness.

I received a 3 season Jarbridge, a Dutch winter sock, a first aid kit that I'm in the process of making it actually ultralight, and enough Christmas cash that I was able to load up on a bunch of Dutch bling.
